Pegatron, a Taiwanese technology company, will invest US$330 million to establish a new specialized manufacturing plant in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, creating 1,000 new high-value jobs and expanding its operations in the city.

The project, planned for 2026–2029, will focus on manufacturing electronic components for electromobility and data center technologies — further strengthening Chihuahua’s role in advanced manufacturing and global technology supply chains.

This investment reflects the confidence global companies place in Chihuahua’s talent, manufacturing capabilities, strategic location, and competitive ecosystem.

Another milestone for Chihuahua. 🚀
Less than a month after announcing its expansion, Inventec has officially broken ground on its new facility in Ciudad Juárez.

With an investment of USD $450 million and the creation of 6,000 new jobs, this project reinforces Chihuahua’s position as one of North America’s leading destinations for advanced electronics manufacturing.

Chihuahua’s electronics ecosystem continues to deliver world-class results. In 2025, the state exported USD $109.5 billion, with the electronics industry accounting for 72.4% of total exports. The sector alone grew 93.4% year-over-year, positioning Chihuahua at the center of global technology supply chains.

Congratulations to Inventec on this important milestone. We look forward to seeing this investment drive innovation, talent development, and long-term economic growth in our state.

Chihuahua continues to strengthen its position as one of Mexico’s leading aerospace hubs. ✈️

GKN Aerospace has brought an additional building into operation at its 160,000 sq. ft. Chihuahua site, supporting the continued growth of its Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) operations.

This increased capacity will help optimize lead times and strengthen the company’s Tier 1 and civil aviation programs, including its long-standing manufacturing partnerships with Gulfstream, Airbus, and Honda Aircraft.

This expansion reflects Chihuahua’s growing potential to support advanced manufacturing, high-value engineering, and multi-technology aerospace operations—reinforcing the state’s competitiveness and its strategic role in the global aerospace supply chain.

A great visit to Bourns, Inc. Chihuahua, an American manufacturer.

Their operation plays an important role in the automotive industry, manufacturing critical components such as ABS and wheel speed sensors, while also demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability through the use of solar energy.

A special thank you to Tony Vargas, Ruben Aguirre, and Maritza Franco for the warm welcome, the insightful meeting, and the plant tour. We also appreciate Guillermo Saucedo for coordinating the visit.

It was also valuable to discuss supplier development opportunities in Chihuahua. BOURNS is currently interested in connecting with manufacturers specializing in fasteners, O-rings, and rubber vulcanization processes.
