A few things to keep in mind:
1) Life happens to all, the good and the bad: Good things and bad things happen to all people. Do not consider yourself better or worse based on what has happened. God sees a much bigger picture than you see.
2) Whatever you have today, there will be a day when you will not have it (Either you will not have it or it will not have you): Property, relationships, leader, beauty, status etc. Appreciate and enjoy it while it is still available. When it leaves, know that it is part of life here on earth. Let your heart be at rest even though the parting may be painful.
3) Every human being has a weakness: Do not expect from humans what only God can provide. It will help you to forgive and be at peace. Psalms 78: 36But then they would flatter him with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues; 37their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant. 38Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath. 39He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.
4) You do not know everything: If you do not know something just be honest with yourself that you do not know and be at peace. If need be, seek knowledge from credible sources.
5) You are not in control of everything around you: Certain things are not within your zone of control. Rest and focus on those that are in your zone. The best you can do about the others is to pray for them to God who is sovereign.
6) You are not responsible for everything that happens in life: Do not blame yourself for everything that happens. When you are at fault, learn the lesson and move on with new wisdom and understanding. Life is too short to dwell on regrets.
7) You are responsible for your choices, decissions and their outcomes: For these, be diligent, take responsibility and own the process of navigation in life. Blaming others will only lead to your own stagnation.
