“What do you see?”
__Probably the most important question when it comes to deciding who is and is not an entrepreneur.
It was the first question that I asked when I started talking to you about entrepreneurship, and I will ask it again: “What do you see?”
The entrepreneur is someone who sees an opportunity that others cannot see, and is able to convince others to see the same thing, so that they can back you, either as investors, lenders, and ultimately as customers.
And to this I might add: “When did you first see it?” The person who sees it first is the one entitled to the most profit if they can act decisively on it.
Finally, I taught you: “What is that in your hand?”
Never answer: "Nothing!"
The miracle only happens when you recognise that you have enough to get started right away!
No pressure!
I’m serious.

I hope you enjoyed the book called "Big Bets" [How Large Scale Change Really Happens] by Dr Rajiv J. Shah that I told you about here recently. If you missed my earlier FB comment, you can read all about it in my new post on LinkedIn. My blog there is entitled "Being empowered is not the same thing as being in power." Dr Shah's book includes some incredible lessons learned that many of you will appreciate, whatever industry you're in.
Here's the link for those of you interested: https://www.linkedin.com/in/strivemasiyiwa/ [NOTE: Please don't try to "Connect" with me on that platform. I read most of your comments but have little or no time right now to liaise back and forth on social media, as I have told you here before].
"Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others," wrote Jonathan Swift.
Now, without delay, take a look around, as an entrepreneur, and tell me what YOU see that could still be invisible to others...
It’s amazing how much potential you really have.
