Income Generating JRS Malawi

We are a group of income generating groups supervised by the Jesuit Refugee service (JRS) at Dzaleka refugee camp. We are mainly ladies but also some men and unaccompanied minors who live at this refugee camp and try to become self sustaining by generating income under the wings of JRS. 2. Knit

ting Group--knitting, training and production of scarfs and other beautiful handmade garments. Support and quality control by Fiola Fairrarri.

3. Wood Carvers, Carpentry and Joinery--sculpts wood and produce diverse works of art and design...

4. Tumbo Moja--train unaccompanied minors and produce quality cooking peanut oil.

5. "Petit Pas" Soap Making project--makes laundry soap and train vulnerable women in soap making skills.

6. Tumaini Restaurant--runs the Tumaini single mothers' restaurant and provides lunch to diverse groups of people including special events by JRS and partners at Dzaleka refugee camp.

7. Briquettes Making Group--makes paper briquettes from recycled papers, saw dust, and rice husks or other dry materials to generate income.

8. Vulnerable Farmers' Association--fruit tree planting and rabbit breeding.

9. Community Organic Garden--use permaculture to grow vegetables

10. Poultry Group--breeds chickens to produce eggs and broilers at Dzaleka camp.
