𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗞𝟱 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Smile Life Insurance Company has donated K5 million towards the Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) Endowment Fund Golf Tournament, an initiative aimed at raising funds to support needy students. Speaking during the symbolic cheque presentation, Smile Life Chief Executive Officer Beatrice Mangwana said the company made the contribution in recognition of the important role education plays in the development of the country.

CUNIMA Vice Chancellor Professor Francis Moto expressed appreciation to Smile Life for the donation, saying the funds will contribute to the university’s efforts to provide financial assistance to students facing challenges in meeting their education costs. He also highlighted the 15 years relationship between CUNIMA and Smile Life, thanking the insurance company for its continued partnership and support towards the university’s initiatives.

Meanwhile, Smile Life Chief Operating Officer Tumpale Sibakwe also emphasized the importance of companies in supporting such initiatives saying such partnerships provide an opportunity for the private sector to contribute meaningfully to the education sector and help create opportunities for students.

The K5 million contribution is therefore more than a donation it is an investment in education, opportunity and the future of Malawi.
