It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague, Gift Sikwese, who, until his passing, served as an Insurance Boarder Officer in Mwanza. Gift was a dedicated employee and a valued member of the Reunion Insurance Company family. His hard work and dedication will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

REUNION ON THE GLOBAL STAGE

At Reunion Insurance, we believe that continuous learning, leadership development and international engagement are essential to building a stronger organisation and delivering greater value to our stakeholders.

In June 2026, members of our leadership team participated in leading international platforms across Egypt, Botswana and the United Kingdom, engaging with industry leaders, executives, practitioners and institutions from across Africa and beyond.

Our CEO, Dr Dorothy Chapeyama, and CCO, Mr Hastings Kapesa, represented Reunion Insurance at the 52nd African Insurance Organisation (AIO) Conference and Annual General Assembly in Cairo, Egypt. Our CFO, Mr Blessings Kanjinga, participated in the International Executive Retreat in Botswana, while our COO, Mrs Salome Mdala, attended the Africa Arbitration Academy Flagship Training Programme in London, engaging with leading international arbitration practitioners and institutions, including the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

These experiences reflect our commitment to professional excellence, knowledge sharing, leadership development and building strategic networks that strengthen our capacity to serve our customers and contribute to the growth of the insurance sector.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to bringing global insights, best practices and valuable partnerships back home to create lasting impact.
