This month, our calendar highlights the beautiful Malé Hukuru Miskiy (Old Friday Mosque) in Malé. Completed in 1658, it is the oldest and most ornate mosque in the Maldives. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this remarkable example of traditional Maldivian architecture is constructed primarily from finely interlocking coral stone blocks.
