🌿 𝗠𝘂𝗱, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

On 6 June, volunteers from the ITL Foundation spent their Saturday morning at Vieux Grand Port for a mangrove clean-up initiative, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Agro-Industry, Fisheries and the Blue Economy, under the guidance of Our Heritage Foundation.

It was a hands-on morning in one of our most valuable coastal . Mangroves play an essential role in protecting our shorelines from erosion, providing habitats for marine life, and naturally filtering coastal waters.
With gloves on and a shared sense of purpose, our volunteers collected several bags of waste, which were sorted on site, with plastic and glass set aside for recycling.

At ITL, we believe that small collective actions can help create lasting . 🌱

This month’s edition highlights Sabou Capital’s $2 million impact-linked debt facility to Tomato Jos, a Nigeria-based tomato-paste manufacturer, and Sango Capital’s $120 million secondary transaction involving interests in four African funds, reflecting continued activity across both impact investing and broader private capital markets in Africa.

The May edition also features transactions across logistics, mining, renewables, forestry, healthcare and financial inclusion, illustrating the breadth of investment activity across African markets.

Back from West Africa with meaningful conversations and strong momentum.

Kesaven Moothoosamy, Executive Director, and Dinesh Sunnoo, Senior Relationship Manager | Fund Services at Intercontinental Trust Limited, have returned from the Economic Development Board Mauritius Roadshow to West Africa, following business forums held in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana last week.

Kesaven Moothoosamy, Executive Director and Dinesh Sunnoo, Senior Relationship Manager | Fund Services at Intercontinental Trust Limited, attended the Lagos Business Forum, held as part of the Economic Development Board Mauritius Roadshow to West Africa, under the theme “𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘂𝘀: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 & 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.”

As one of the panellists, Kesaven shared insights on how can support Nigerian businesses, fund managers and investors as they expand beyond their domestic market. He highlighted the role of the Mauritius International Financial Centre in helping businesses manage -border complexity, particularly around foreign exchange, regulatory considerations, confidence and the efficient movement of capital.

He also spoke about Mauritius’ strengths as a fund and investment platform, with recognised fund vehicles, strong substance requirements, investor protection mechanisms, and a professional ecosystem that includes experienced administrators, auditors, legal advisers, banks and management companies.

These elements make Mauritius a practical and trusted for capital looking to scale across the continent and access international markets.

Following the Lagos Business Forum, Kesaven will also attend the upcoming forums in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana, continuing the conversation on how Mauritius can facilitate investment flows between West Africa and international markets.
