The Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) wishes to inform all registered members that the Annual General Assembly (AGA), originally scheduled for 17th September, has been postponed.

🗓️ 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: Thursday, 24th September 2026

Furthermore, in accordance with the Financial Reporting Act 2004, MIPA is officially calling for candidacies for the election of one (1) member to the Board of MIPA during the assembly.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬:

⏳ 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: Tuesday, 23rd June 2026, by 15:00 hrs.

📍 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝: The official Candidature Form must be signed and hand-delivered to the MIPA Office (5th Floor, The CORE, 62, ICT Avenue, Cybercity, Ebene).

Note: If delivered by a third party, a letter of proxy must be attached.

On Wednesday, June 3, the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) successfully hosted the first session of its new Monthly Guest Speaker Series.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Ndidi Nnoli-Edozien, Member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), to discuss the upcoming adoption of IFRS S1 and S2 in Mauritius. She shared valuable and practical lessons from other African countries, highlighting the importance of clear sustainability reporting for our local financial sector.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐈𝐏𝐀 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤! 🥾

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday, April 12th, for our inaugural MIPA Leisure Walk at Black River Peak. It was great to see a turnout of over 90 participants, as accounting professionals, along with their families and friends, stepped out of the office to connect, unwind and walk the trail together.

Events like this remind us of the importance of work-life balance and the strength of our professional community here in Mauritius. The beautiful views were a great addition to the conversations and networking that took place on the trail.

A special thank you to the MIPA Sports and Leisure Committee for spearheading this initiative.

We are proud to share the success of our recent community outreach initiative!

On April 1st, 2026, the CSR Committee of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA), in collaboration with Measat International (South Asia) Ltd, visited the Black River Government School. In the presence of the Chairperson of MIPA, Mr. Ravin Seechurn, we distributed essential school materials to support students from vulnerable backgrounds.

By supporting vulnerable groups and promoting education as a driver of social mobility, we aim to create a meaningful impact beyond our profession.
