Teaspooned whisky!
What is it?
It is a blended malt whisky. It gets it's name from the fact that in a cask of a single malt whisky a small amount (a teaspoon) of another single malt has been added.
Should you buy a cask of a teaspooned whisky?
Although one can't use the distillery name when bottling such a cask, it still pretty much is the original whisky (more than 99%). So if you want to have a quality product at a fraction of the cost and you can live with the fact that there will be no naming rights, teaspooned whiskies are the way to go!
