and has been registered by the Monetary Board of the Central bank of Sri Lanka under the Finance Business Act No.42 of 2011

The Company was incorporated as Indra Finance Ltd. in 1987 as a fully owned subsidiary of Indra Traders (Pvt) Ltd, At the initial stages, it catered to the growing market of financing vehicles. Commercial Bank acquired full ownership of Indra Finance Ltd. in 2014 under the then Financial Sector Consolidation Plan and renamed the entity Serendib Finance Ltd. In December 2020, the Company was renamed CBC Finance Ltd. in order to reflect the close association with the Commercial Bank

CBC Finance PLC Renews Strategic Partnership with Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited

We are pleased to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CBC Finance PLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, and Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited, held on September 29, 2026.

The MoU was officially signed by Mr. Delakshan Hettiarachchi, Executive Director of CBC Finance PLC, and Mr. Masaaki Kawabata, Chairman of Toyota Lanka Pvt Ltd.

The signing ceremony was graced by senior officials including Mr. Dammika Hapuhinna (Chief Business Officer – CBC Finance PLC) and Mr. Rangana Shamil (Head of Sales & Marketing – CBC Finance PLC). Representing Toyota Lanka was Mr. Ravi Opatha (General Manager), along with other distinguished representatives.

This renewed strategic partnership marks another significant milestone in strengthening our collaboration, driving mutual business growth, and creating enhanced financial and automotive solutions for our valued customers.

We look back with pride at a powerful expansion for CBC Finance PLC—the grand opening of our 25th branch in the heart of Kalmunai! This milestone reflects our continued mission to serve and empower communities across Sri Lanka.
