The Company was incorporated as Indra Finance Ltd. in 1987 as a fully owned subsidiary of Indra Traders (Pvt) Ltd, At the initial stages, it catered to the growing market of financing vehicles. Commercial Bank acquired full ownership of Indra Finance Ltd. in 2014 under the t

hen Financial Sector Consolidation Plan and renamed the entity Serendib Finance Ltd. In December 2020, the Company was renamed CBC Finance Ltd. in order to reflect the close association with the Commercial Bank
