Ceylon Gold – Honouring Partnerships That Power Sri Lanka’s Growth
As part of its 87th Anniversary celebrations, Bank of Ceylon hosted “Ceylon Gold”, an appreciation forum at Shangri-La Colombo, recognising Sri Lanka’s leading tea exporters who have maintained long-standing banking relationships with the Bank.
The event celebrated partnerships built on generations of trust, with several businesses maintaining their relationship with Bank of Ceylon across three generations—a testament to the confidence, loyalty and enduring relationships built over decades.
Sri Lanka’s tea exporters play a vital role in strengthening the national economy by generating valuable foreign exchange and carrying the legacy of Ceylon Tea to markets across the world. As the Bankers to the Nation, Bank of Ceylon remains committed to supporting these businesses as they grow, expand and strengthen Sri Lanka’s presence in global markets.
For 87 years, Bank of Ceylon has grown alongside the people and businesses of Sri Lanka, building relationships that go beyond banking and span generations.
The occasion was graced by Mr. Kavinda de Zoysa, Chairman of Bank of Ceylon, together with the Board of Directors; Mr. Y. A. Jayathilaka, General Manager/Chief Executive Officer; and members of the Bank’s Corporate and Executive Management, who joined in honouring these valued partners and celebrating the enduring relationships that continue to contribute to Sri Lanka’s economic progress.
