We are pleased to share that LOLC Securities recently hosted its first-ever Investor Forum under the theme “Capitalizing on the Economic Upswing” on 6 March 2026 at the Hilton Colombo Residence.
The event brought together around 100 high-net-worth individuals, including existing and prospective investors, creating a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and dialogue on Sri Lanka’s economic outlook, capital market opportunities, and the impact of global uncertainties on investment decisions. The forum featured a keynote address by Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, along with a market review presentation by Ruvini Kaushalya, Senior Manager – Research at LOLC Securities.
The event also included an engaging panel discussion moderated by Nisthar Cassim, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Daily FT, featuring Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman/CEO of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board; Asanka Herath, CEO of Unit Trust and Head of Equities at LYNEAR Wealth Management; and Shehan Bartholomeusz, CEO of LOLC Securities. Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe also joined the discussion, sharing valuable insights from the government and policy-making perspective. The panel discussion offered timely insights into how recent geopolitical tensions are shaping the market dynamics, with particular attention to their implications for Sri Lanka’s exports to Middle Eastern markets. The conversation highlighted the interconnected nature of global developments and their potential ripple effects on trade and investor sentiment.
