LIBS, represented by its President Talal Ounsi, together with members of its Board of Directors, participated in the conference organized by the Insurance Studies Institute (ISSA) at Saint Joseph University on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
The event featured H.E. Dr. Amer Bisat, Minister of Economy and Trade, who presented his strategic vision for the future of the Lebanese insurance sector under the theme “Three Reforms, One Direction.”
During the conference, LIBS President Talal Ounsi delivered an intervention highlighting LIBS’ position on the ongoing reform process and stressing the importance of close cooperation among the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Insurance Control Commission (ICC), insurers, brokers, and all sector stakeholders to ensure the successful modernization and sustainable development of the insurance sector.
As the representative body of insurance brokers in Lebanon, LIBS is working closely with the Ministry and the ICC on key reform initiatives, including licensing requirements, Fit & Proper criteria, professional standards, and market governance. LIBS also continues to contribute actively through its membership in the National Insurance Council and the Consultative Committee of ISSA.
