🌅 LIBS Sunset Insurance Gathering 2026
For the 9th consecutive year, the Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate (LIBS) hosted its annual LIBS Sunset Insurance Gathering at IXSIR Winery, Batroun, sponsored by Nextcare.

The event was attended by LIBS President Talal Ounsi, members of the Syndicate’s Board, former LIBS Presidents, and a Nextcare delegation led by Mr. Christian Gregorowicz, CEO of Nextcare Dubai, and Mr. Walid Hallassou, Managing Director of Nextcare Lebanon, alongside the company’s team.

Bringing together leaders and professionals from Lebanon’s insurance sector, the gathering celebrated collaboration, strengthened industry connections, and reaffirmed the resilience of the Lebanese insurance community.

During the evening, LIBS honored Nextcare in recognition of its continued support and valued partnership.

The Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate (LIBS) successfully held its Annual General Assembly on 2 July 2026, chaired by its President, Talal Ounsi.

Despite the exceptionally challenging circumstances that Lebanon faced towards the end of 2025, LIBS achieved substantial positive results, reflecting the Board’s commitment to serving its members and strengthening the profession.

The General Assembly approved the 2025 Administrative and Financial Reports, endorsed the 2026 Budget, and discharged the President and Board Members for the 2025 financial year.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange on the key challenges facing the insurance brokerage profession and the priorities for further strengthening the insurance sector in Lebanon.

LIBS extends its sincere appreciation to all members for their active participation, continued trust, and commitment to advancing the profession.

LIBS, represented by its President Talal Ounsi, together with members of its Board of Directors, participated in the conference organized by the Insurance Studies Institute (ISSA) at Saint Joseph University on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

The event featured H.E. Dr. Amer Bisat, Minister of Economy and Trade, who presented his strategic vision for the future of the Lebanese insurance sector under the theme “Three Reforms, One Direction.”

During the conference, LIBS President Talal Ounsi delivered an intervention highlighting LIBS’ position on the ongoing reform process and stressing the importance of close cooperation among the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Insurance Control Commission (ICC), insurers, brokers, and all sector stakeholders to ensure the successful modernization and sustainable development of the insurance sector.

As the representative body of insurance brokers in Lebanon, LIBS is working closely with the Ministry and the ICC on key reform initiatives, including licensing requirements, Fit & Proper criteria, professional standards, and market governance. LIBS also continues to contribute actively through its membership in the National Insurance Council and the Consultative Committee of ISSA.

Lebanese Insurance Brokers Syndicate (LIBS) at Baabda Palace

We were honored to meet with His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, at Baabda Palace as part of LIBS’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of Lebanon’s insurance sector.

During the meeting, we reaffirmed our support for efforts aimed at strengthening state institutions and promoting stability, recognizing their essential role in fostering economic growth and creating a healthier environment for the insurance industry.

We also highlighted LIBS’s role as the legitimate representative of insurance brokers in Lebanon and shared our continued efforts to advance the profession, elevate professional standards, enhance policyholder protection, and strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Trade, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders to modernize and regulate the sector while combating unlawful practices.

President Aoun underscored the importance of the insurance sector and the vital contribution of insurance brokers in serving citizens and supporting the national economy. He emphasized the need for continued efforts to strengthen regulation and governance across all sectors.

The President also encouraged closer coordination between LIBS and the Ministry of Economy and Trade to serve the interests of all stakeholders, including regulators, insurance companies, and brokers, while contributing to the growth of the insurance market and reinforcing public confidence in the sector.

LIBS President Talal Ounsi also reaffirmed the syndicate’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the insurance sector, enhance professional standards, and promote constructive cooperation among all industry stakeholders.

This meeting reflects LIBS’s ongoing mission to represent insurance brokers, safeguard the interests of the profession, and contribute to the advancement of the insurance sector as a key pillar of Lebanon’s economic and social stability.

نقابة وسطاء التأمين في لبنان في قصر بعبدا
استقبل فخامة رئيس الجمهورية اللبنانية العماد جوزاف عون وفداً من نقابة وسطاء التأمين في لبنان برئاسة النقيب طلال الأنسي.
وخلال اللقاء، أكد الوفد دعم النقابة للجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز مؤسسات الدولة وترسيخ الاستقرار، لما لذلك من انعكاس إيجابي على مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية، ولا سيما قطاع التأمين.
كما عرض الوفد الدور الذي تضطلع به نقابة وسطاء التأمين في لبنان بصفتها الممثل الشرعي لوسطاء التأمين في لبنان، وجهودها المستمرة في تطوير المهنة، ورفع المعايير المهنية، وتعزيز حماية المؤمن لهم، والتعاون القائم مع وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة والهيئات الرقابية وسائر الجهات المعنية لتنظيم القطاع وتحديثه وضبط الممارسات غير الشرعية.
وأكد فخامة الرئيس أهمية قطاع التأمين في لبنان والدور الذي يؤديه وسطاء التأمين في خدمة المواطنين والاقتصاد، مشدداً على مواصلة العمل من أجل تعزيز التنظيم والحوكمة في مختلف القطاعات.
كما دعا فخامته إلى تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون بين نقابة وسطاء التأمين في لبنان ووزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة بما يحقق مصلحة جميع المعنيين في القطاع من هيئات رقابية وشركات تأمين ووسطاء، ويساهم في تطوير سوق التأمين وترسيخ الثقة بها.
ويأتي هذا اللقاء في إطار الدور الذي تؤديه النقابة في تمثيل الوسطاء والدفاع عن مصالح المهنة والمساهمة في تطوير قطاع التأمين باعتباره أحد الركائز الأساسية الداعمة للاستقرار الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في لبنان.
