Arab Development Portal A one-stop-shop knowledge platform that offers access to a multi-source database on development in the Arab region.

It is managed by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. Online since 25th of April 2016, the Arab Development Portal (ADP) is an initiative of the Arab Coordination Group (ACG), which comprises ten national, regional and international development institutions, in collaboration with the United Nations’ Development Programme (UNDP). Effective January 1st, 2023, seven of the members of th

e ACG agreed to pass on the responsibility of maintaining and operating the Portal from the UNDP to the Arab Fund, one of the members of the ACG, and to share in covering such cost for the period 2023-2025. The initiative aims to enhance the knowledge of people on development in the Arab region. Members of the Coordination Group:

According to World Bank, the cumulative regional cost of the pandemic is estimated at US$200 billion in terms of losses by the end of 2021, compared to where the MENA region’s would have been without the pandemic.
The current global health crisis has shown the extent to which economic performance & recovery depends on pandemic control & equitable rollout of vaccines.
