2005년 제 1회 대회가 개최된 이래 버락 오바마 전 미국 대통령, 데이비드 캐머런 전 영국 총리, 조지 W 부시 전 미국 대통령, 고촉통 전 싱가포르 총리, 헨리 키신저 전 미국 국무장관과 같은 세계적 정치 리더들을 비롯해 마윈 알리바바그룹 회장, 짐 로저스 로저스홀딩스 회장 등 글로벌 기업 CEO들, 그리고 니얼 퍼거슨 하버드대 교수, 제프리 삭스 콜롬비아대 교수 등 저명한 학자들이 ALC 연사로 참석하였습니다.

The Asian Leadership Conference(ALC), hosted by the CHOSUNILBO, is the country’s premier international conference that was first held in 2005. The objective of the conference is to bring global
leaders and minds together and discuss issues that affect people in Asia and provide a sense of direction to those who are directly involved in managing these issues. From its very first edition, the ALC has chosen unique themes that were relevant at that time. In 2005, the theme was “Rebuilding of Asia after
the Tsunami.” In 2012, it focused on the future of capitalism with the theme “Capitalism 4.0: Searching for Post-Crisis Solution.” In 2014, the theme was “One Korea, New Asia.” The conference will also include subjects that are of importance to its audience. The audience is a mix
of C-level and senior executives of Korea’s industrial and financial companies. A large number of businessmen, middle-management executives, senior government leaders and officials, academia and students are also among the audience. The audience size exceeds 1,000. Its audience-driven format is designed to bring speakers who can share their personal stories of success or can offer business advice based on their own experience.
