We would like to share a positive and important update regarding the recent Thailand–Cambodia border conflict.

Following three days of diplomatic talks under the ASEAN and General Border Committee framework, Thailand and Cambodia have now agreed on a ceasefire. The agreement was finalized at a high-level meeting and went into effect December 27 at 12:00 PM (UTC+07:00).

Both governments have publicly confirmed their commitment to returning to the existing peace agreements and to continuing dialogue in the coming days to ensure stability is maintained.

Sophos Family Kitchen & Cooking Class

Spend a very enjoyable morning with Sophos in his rural village home not far from Siem Reap town where his family restaurant and teaching kitchen is. Sophos was trained by Khmer chefs at top restaurants in Cambodia.

He will arrange a tuktuk to pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap @ 08:30. Upon arrival he will take you to the local market to buy all the ingredients you need for the cooking class. You will also take a walk around the village where Sophos will identify several herbs and spices and explain how they are used in Khmer cooking. Meanwhile, you will also learn about the Cambodian rural culture. Once back at his home he will teach you how to prepare a traditional Khmer dish.
