Martin Cambodia-born chef who develop his culinary passion at a young age when he moved to France as a young boy. Inspired by French cuisine and his love and respect for food, he then moved to San Francisco in 1991 and graduate there, Martin then sought opportunities to further develop his own creativity.
Martin’s culinary repertoire flourished during his role as a line cook at Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel, a Top 100 Best Restaurant in San Francisco, followed by Port House Resort & Casino, where he developed and refined his culinary techniques as a Sous Chef. He then proceeded to be involved in various areas of culinary in the United States as Chef De Cuisine.
Today, Chef Martin can be found spearheading Tell Restaurant Kitchen and training His team members. With over 40 years of professional experience in key international establishments, prestigious free-standing restaurants working around 45 states in America, Chef Martin has melded his interest in global culture with his love for the culinary arts and often marries classic dishes with seasonal ingredients, his signature, however, is combining innovative contemporary techniques with traditional interpretations.
Our Fun Fact
The name “TELL” has a rooted origin in the beloved Swiss folk hero, Wilhelm Tell. He was revered for his act of heroism in protecting the common people against a tyrannical foreign ruler and bringing about the unity of Switzerland as a country. Famed for his skilled marksmanship with the crossbow, Wilhelm Tell good deeds caused him to become a local Swiss legend that rivals the great tale of Robinhood.
