Did you know that more than 1,600 km of Cambodian roads have now been assessed for safety? That's a huge step forward. ๐
The latest phase of the iRAP project, funded by the Asian Development Bank, is training 20 engineers at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to conduct road safety assessments on their own. After completing a 900 km assessment of Cambodia's strategic road network in 2024, the focus is now on building local skills so the country can lead these assessments independently.
Participants have been working on National Roads 1, 4, 6 and 41, learning everything from data collection to identifying the most effective safety improvements. ๐โ
Safer roads mean fewer accidents, lower risks for businesses, and better protection for everyone on the move. ๐
At , we love seeing this kind of progress. Prevention and preparedness go hand in hand with good insurance coverage, and together they create safer communities for all of us.
