Sued for your services?
Ever heard of a doctor, an engineer or advocates being sued for claims of malpractice? It may be a patient that you treated and the condition worsened or a house you designed and collapsed. These claims can force you to close up your business or services due owing to the attached cost. They can also lead to unending court cases that can cost you much of your time and money.
To mitigate this, any professional is required to take a professional indemnity cover as it costs time and money to defend against a claim of malpractice, professional misconduct, or breach of duty. You could be held responsible not only for your own actions, but also for those of your partners, employees or volunteers. A professional indemnity insurance policy safeguards your business by providing cover against such claims, including legal defense costs. It is designed for professionals who provide advice or services to their customers such as Doctors ( and other medical practitioners), Engineers, advocates, Surveyors, Accountants etc
In case you need more information about professional indemnity cover or any other insurance services (motor vehicle cover, motor cycle cover, health covers, investment, life covers), you are welcome to contact the Insurer admin any time of the day.

What to do in case of a tyre bleout

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE A TYRE BLOWOUT

In the event of the unfortunate death of many kenyans due to an accident occasioned by a tyre blowout and the fact that in East Africa now-a-days, we have many untrained drivers, it has become pertinent for me to write this.

There are 6 simple steps to take within a maximum of 2 minutes and you will be safe, these by the grace of God I have been familiar with for decades. They are as follow:

(1) DON'T PANIC in the event of a blowout, calm yourself down first because your car will start misbehaving and you need to take charge.

(2) Hold FIRMLY to your steering wheel with both hand, NO VIGOROUS TURNING, as you concentrate on the road and your mirrors, in seconds study the movement pattern of the car. Your car will naturally swerve to the direction of the burst tyre.

(3) Take off your foot from the accelerator, DON'T EVER ATTEMPT TO PRESS THE BRAKES, IF YOU DO, YOU HAVE A 95% CHANCE OF A SOMERSAULT. The car will decelerate gradually while you concentrate on the road to avoid collision with any other road user.

(4) Disengage the gears of the car by shifting to neutral (N) as you still maintain a firm grip on the sheering wheel and put your eyes on the road.

(5) After a while depending on your initial speed, your car come to a speed less than 60km/h when it is now safe to GRADUALLY apply the brakes and navigate to the side walk

(6) Ultimately, it is now safe to put the car to a complete stop and turn off the engine. You have just saved yourself and passengers from untimely death.

NOTE:
Of course, everyone in the car will be in a panic mode BUT this is NOT THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THEM, it is TIME TO CONCENTRATE.

Please, don't just read, share on your page and copy to other platforms, you may just be about to save a life.

How Do you make an Insurance claim in case your vehicle is Stolen?

The insured must inform the insurance firm and the police. The insurer’s representative will help the former through the process. To make a claim, the vehicle needs to be covered under the comprehensive insurance policy, which includes third-party cover, loss/damage to vehicle as a result of an accident, fire or theft, and risks against natural calamities.

FIR: The insured must lodge the First Information Report (FIR) with the police immediately.

Claim form: The insured should call the customer service centre of the insurance company and fill the claim form, giving information like the policy number, vehicle details, as well as the date, time and description of the incident.

Documents: Submit the duly signed claim form, copies of the registration certificate (RC) of the vehicle, driving license, policy document (first two pages), the FIR and a letter addressed to the RTO intimating theft.

Approval, settlement: After the police submits its final ‘nontraceable report’ and the claim is approved, the insured must transfer the RC of the stolen vehicle in favor of the insurance company, hand over all sets of keys and give a letter of subrogation to the insurance company.

Reimbursement: The amount approved as per the surveyor’s report will be reimbursed within seven working days including total replacement
