Today, Kiambu County witnessed a powerful show of unity, strength, and renewed purpose during the delegates meeting led by our Party Leader, H.E. the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya. The gathering was a clear indication that Jubilee Party remains focused, organized, and ready to champion the interests of wananchi across the country.

Delegates from all corners of Kiambu came together with one voice, one mission, and one vision,to build a stronger, united, and people-centered political movement grounded on democracy, development, and service to the people.

The inspiring message from the Party Leader reignited hope and reminded us that true leadership is built on unity, integrity, and commitment to the people. Equally, Dr. Fred Matiang’i , a leader who has been tried, tested, and trusted, emphasized the urgent need for clean politics free from lies, hatred, propaganda, and mediocrity. His call for responsible leadership and issue-based politics resonated strongly with many Kenyans, especially the youth.

As young people, this is our time to rise, take responsibility, and take over the mantle of leadership with wisdom, vision, and courage. The future belongs to a generation ready to work, unite, and transform our communities for the better.

Together we move forward stronger and more determined than ever.

Food prices, biashara, farming, school fees, and the daily survival of every family across Kenya.

Ndindi Nyoro , Jubilee Party , Jubilee Youth League , Angel Mbuthia , Wangui Ngirici , Pauline Njoroge i Douglas Irungu Maina – Ndia MP 2027, I strongly support any genuine effort that seeks to protect wananchi from the harsh economic pressure they continue to face.

Reducing VAT, lowering unnecessary fuel levies, regulating excessive profit margins, and introducing fuel subsidies are conversations Parliament must take seriously and urgently. The common mwananchi cannot continue carrying the weight of over-taxation while businesses struggle and unemployment rises.

However, beyond temporary interventions, Kenya must begin investing heavily in long-term economic solutions:
• Supporting local production and manufacturing.
• Empowering farmers and small businesses.
• Fighting corruption and wastage of public funds.
• Creating policies that prioritize wananchi before politics.

Leadership must listen to the cries of the people. The youth want opportunities. Mothers want affordable food. Business people want a stable economy. Farmers want fair prices and lower transport costs.

This is not about politics. This is about the future of Kenya and the dignity of hardworking citizens.

As a leader aspiring to serve the great people of Ndia, I believe leadership must be felt in the pockets, homes, and lives of wananchi not only in speeches.

The voice of the people must remain louder than the interests of cartels and selfish politics.

People of Ndia Constituency, fuel prices continue to rise day by day, making life harder for every hustler, farmer, bodaboda rider, business person, and family struggling to survive.

But have you heard GK Kariuki Ndia Mp , whom we elected to represent our voices, speaking strongly about the high cost of fuel? Talk about The killing of Young people, Have you seen him table a motion or push for reduction of petrol prices in Parliament?

At a time when wananchi are crying, shouldn’t this be the moment for our leaders to stand with the people and fight for relief?

We must ask ourselves:
Is he representing the people who voted him into office?

Leadership is not silence when the people are suffering. Leadership is standing up, speaking out, and defending the citizens who trusted you with their vote.

‎Leadership is often misunderstood as a fixed position,standing at the front, giving direction, and being seen. But true leadership is far more dynamic, far more human, and far more strategic than that.

‎I have been reflecting on a simple but powerful image: a duck leading from the front, and a chicken guiding from behind. At first glance, it may seem like a comparison of right versus wrong but in reality, it is something deeper: context versus context.
‎
‎There is no single correct position in leadership. There is only the right response to the moment.This is the essence of Situational Leadership the ability to read people, understand circumstances, and adjust your leadership style accordingly.
‎
‎1. Leading from Behind — The Strength of the Chicken
‎
‎Leading from behind is not weakness. It is wisdom.
‎
‎It requires restraint, trust, and emotional intelligence. When a team is skilled, experienced, and capable, they do not need constant direction,they need space.By stepping back, you are not abandoning leadership; you are elevating others into leadership.
‎
‎You become the protector of vision, the guardian of unity, and the one who ensures no one is left behind. You allow innovation to emerge, confidence to grow, and ownership to take root.
‎
‎This kind of leadership says,"I trust you. I am here, but you are capable." And in that trust, people become stronger.
‎
‎2. Leading from the Front — The Courage of the Duck
‎
‎There are moments when leadership must be visible, decisive, and bold.

‎When uncertainty rises, when challenges are unfamiliar, when pressure builds,people look for direction. In these moments, leadership is not about stepping back; it is about stepping forward.

‎Leading from the front means absorbing pressure, setting pace, and clearing the path. It is about giving clarity where there is confusion and confidence where there is doubt.

‎It says: "Follow me. I will take the first step." This is not dominance,it is responsibility.

‎True leadership is fluid. It listens before it acts. It observes before it decides.It requires emotional intelligent,the ability to read the room, understand people, and respond with intention.

WHY NDIA MUST ADOPT A LABOUR-BASED STRATEGY
By Douglas Irungu Maina – NDIA MP 2027

Ndia is rich in people, energy, and potential. What we lack is not ability,it is opportunity. That is why a labour-based development strategy is the way forward.

1. Create Jobs for Our Youth
Instead of machines doing all the work, labour-based projects employ our own people. Road works, drainage, and public projects can directly give jobs to Ndia youth and reduce unemployment.

2. Put Money in Local Hands
When locals are hired, wages stay within Ndia. This boosts small businesses, supports families, and grows our local economy from within.

3. Faster Impact, Visible Change
Labour-based projects can be rolled out quickly across villages,fixing roads, cleaning markets, improving infrastructure while creating income at the same time.

4. Build Skills and Empower Communities
Through these projects, our people gain hands-on skills that they can use for future opportunities in construction, maintenance, and entrepreneurship.

5. Cost-Effective Development
Labour-based approaches reduce heavy machinery costs and ensure resources benefit people directly,not just contractors.

6. Inclusive Growth – No One Left Behind
Women, youth, and vulnerable groups can all participate. This is development that includes everyone, not just a few.

This is not just development,it is empowerment.
It is dignity. It is opportunity. It is Ndia rising together.
