*NEW FRANCHISE UPDATE*
On the 30th October 2018, the chairman accompanied by the Treasurer General and the Secretary General visited the offices of Seven 2 Seven in Ruiru and met with Nishant Bhatt. The GM-Operations, Broadwalk Limited of which are the franchisers of the Seven 2 Seven shop franchise, to revive the talks about the franchise and resolve issues pending since the rise of unsolved challenges we have faced over the last 11months or so.
So far since the shop remained closed due various challenges from various organization fallouts followed by missing a suitable shop attendant for months; our first meeting after a long wait finally bore some positive fruits.
However we shall have to acquire a new shop and this time the smaller version for easier management of stock. With this, it means we shall spend some more cash to acquire it with new stock. That means paying seven 2 seven afresh for a new stock, while we endeavor to clear our balances.
And on balances owed to the franchise since the shop was acquired on a loan, we shall publish a full report on Monday to cover the shops performance finally. This is where we all need to be very present to get this sought-after information by all members.
Since we lacked enough funds' support to hire an auditor, the chairman concluded that he, the SG and The TG shall sit together and self-audit all the shops reports to meet the Monday publication for members since on Tuesday the said team shall have another meeting with the GM-Operations, Broadwalk Limited to make a conclusive decision on the new shop acquisition.
All Members of this organization are invited to sit together with the leaders to audit the shops report together at Nyayo Estate on Sunday afternoon from 3pm till late.
We have all suffered great losses together since the shop wasn't operational and we ask for even more patience and strong willed spirit from all our members to support the management team of this organization to regain its composure as they take on the new franchise. Without the members support everything we try will fail and hurt all of us by losses.
For instance, if we all decided we don’t want to be united under this umbrella and pull out our money, then at this point we shall all be at loss and shall not get our deserved shares or invested money in full as we have already used up part of our contributions on a franchise that we all agreed to invest in. Indeed, we are all tied together both on profits and losses.
So, since “kidole kimoja hakiuwi chawa” our unity in standing together will once again see us rise from this dust of defeat and as we acquire the franchise afresh to avoid going at losses, we shall rise to win profits eventually. As the saying goes, Rome was not build in one day.
We shall all stay together and build up this empire stone by stone no matter how impossible this might seem, it still remains certain that we shall be successful in all we do. UOA has massive potential and we all know it for sure. Let’s work for the success we want, follow on the footsteps of the leaders who haven’t given up and we shall emerge a game changer and a powerful union. In all we do, thoughts have never bought any property but money has and always will. So let’s keep investing our money to support better investments.
We wish to inform you that the chair and the management team shall nevertheless proceed to invest into the franchise to avoid accumulating more debts form our previously unpaid franchise. Be notified that some measures need to be implemented as of now to ensure we progress upwards not downwards.
Another thing to rejoice about is that there will no longer be a royalty fee attached to the new shop. Only profits for us. For those who remember the royalty took away 8 thousand shillings from our profits but this has since been stopped.
More details shall be vailed on Monday ahead of our last meeting at the seven 2 seven.
Thank you
From the Chairman
