Humanism is about this, we are all human and only certain basic minimums make us unique, powerful and great as the custodian species on earth. Those minimums we call them values. The difference between a human being of whatsoever walk or race or tribe with a beast of any nature are values. Such values that characterize being humane are in line with compassion, humility, responsibility, love, care, tenderness, empathy, understanding and trust in each other. This is key, this is all that matters. That whatsoever we want for ourselves, may we seek it for all humans.

Your religion or denomination does not matter. Your education or upbringing does not matter. What matters is coexistence and happiness. If Religious morality so promotes coexistence... so be it. For me moral is moral whether veiled in Christian speak or Atheist speak. The measure of what is moral or not is Love; the life affirming transcendental attribute. As humanity we have a duty to live and let live.

The funny thing about achievement, is that once achieved or accomplished, that accomplished status becomes normal and we get tired living the old normal life. Remedy is in remembering where you have come from. Remember when having two thousands that you call your own was merely a dream. Remember when successively finishing high school was a dream you prayed would come to pass. Be thankful, yes, from your heart appreciate and life has meaning.

A candle or a lamp are good things. However, if you had a candle in a dark room or a lamp full of fuel but do not have a match stick or lighter, it is useless. You need a spark, you need the light to light your candle! Life is like a candle, you need find the spark then life becomes fulfilling. The spark of life is found in contribution and engagement. Engage your mind, soul and body; contribute intellectually, socially and physical.... you will be turned on, you will be on fire, you will rock!
