Hello Credit Champions….

We have moved a step ahead in protecting our customers. afb has introduced an insurance cover on the card, which covers the customers in case of death, disability, dreaded diseases and retrenchment. Simply put, in case of the above mentioned eventualities, the insurance company (Pan African Life) will pay off the customers outstanding balance.

Key Points to note:

• A monthly fee of KES140/- if the customer has an outstanding balance of more than KES300/- will apply beginning next month.
• The insurance cover protects the customer’s family in the event of his/her death
• The customer’s loan is paid off if the customer becomes disabled or develops a critical illness – including: heart attack, stroke, cancer, renal failure, paraplegia, blindness, surgery for heart disease, and organ transplant, coma or major burns
• Customer's loan is paid off if he/she is retrenched
• Existing customers – once the first premium is paid, the customer’s entire outstanding balance will be covered in case of the above mentioned eventualities (death, disability, dreaded diseases or retrenchment)
• Fast and easy claims process
• The insurance is provided by Pan African Life, a registered financial services provider.
