The Easter season is here with us again. Make sure you renew your Car Insurance before you travel. Most Insurance Companies close tomorrow afternoon, to allow their staff to travel, try to renew or get yours before then.

I once had the Chance to ride in the front seat of a Matatu from Eldy to Kapsowar. We chatted with the driver and something about Insurance came up. He told me that he knows the insurance Cover in his Matatu is for the Police "not to arrest you". I explained to him the Various forms of insurance cover and especially on his Matatu,,,,among them is a PSV cover of his passengers. He was shocked to learn that his passengers are covered incase of an accident occassioned by or through his Matatu,,,,He was still smarting from paying out of his pocket a cool Shs 48,000/= as hospital bill of a passenger who jumped out before he could stop at the designated stage!
