Dubai Bank (K) Limited is a medium sized commercial Bank in Kenya, with the initial license being of Bank Oman Ltd issued in 1982, which later transformed into Mashreq Bank Plc. were acquired by the present owners of Dubai Bank (K) Ltd on 30th April 2000. The main branch at Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi was originally started by Bank as an independent indigenous Bank. The Bank offers both traditional
and Islamic Banking Products to its esteemed Customers. The Bank has recorded exponential growth in business after the change in management and identity in 2000. The Bank now has four (4) branches: two in Nairobi, one in Mombasa and another one in Nakuru. It plans to open 4 new branches in Kenya by the end of 2014 and expand to other countries. The Bank has partnered with International and reputable Money Transfer Agencies like Express Money, Instant Cash, Cash Swift, Cash for Africa, and M-PESA (Local mobile phone money transfer service). The Bank has agency arrangements with approximately 400 banks in 103 countries. The excellent customer relationship practices of Dubai Bank received industry recognition in the ‘Mi Banking Survey Awards Gala 2006’. The Bank was awarded the trophy for ‘Best Bank in Customer Satisfaction’ among peers, based on the results of an independent survey.
