Prior to 1960, the Insurance Industry was composed of five (5) separate and distinct Associations namely:

The Accident Association of East Africa
The Motor Association of East Africa
The Life Offices Association of East Africa

Each Association had its own Chairman and separate Constitution. At a meeting held on

15th February, 1960, it was proposed to merge four (4) Associations namely Fire, Marine and Aviation, Accident and Motor Association to form one General Association referred to as the Insurance Association of East Africa catering for General Insurance Business. At the InsurTech Forum Nairobi, the CEOs Panel will unpack a timely question: What should we prioritise, what should we stop, and what should we deliver next as we advance AI integration and business transformation across the sector?

Join leading voices in insurance and financial services for a practical conversation on ex*****on, leadership, and measurable impact.

Motor insurance covers haziko same, boss. 😅 Before uingie barabara, elewa cover yako iko aje.

Kwa motor insurance, kuna:

Third Party Only (TPO) – covers damage or injury kwa watu wengine.

Third Party Fire & Theft (TPF) –covers claims za third party, na pia gari yako ikiwa imeibiwa ama imeharibika because of fire.

Comprehensive – hii ndio iko na wider protection, including your own vehicle, depending na terms za policy.

So, before you buy or renew, usiassume. Uliza insurer wako: “Hii insurance niko nayo inacover nini, na haitacover nini?”

Then dial *352 # or use BimaYangu APP kuverify.

Usibahatishie insurance. Verify before uingie barabara

Kuna discount, halafu kuna “hii nayo inahitaji investigation.” 😅

When buying motor insurance, don’t be carried away by price alone. Confirm you are buying from licensed agents, brokers, or approved insurance providers. Then verify the certificate before relying on it.

Bei poa ni sawa. Cover legit ni muhimu zaidi.
Buy from the right people, then dial *352 # or use BimaYangu to verify.
