We had the pleasure of hosting a networking lunch at Soames Nanyuki for our clients on Friday, in partnership with SanlamAllianz Kenya.

The afternoon created a valuable opportunity to connect with clients, exchange perspectives, and strengthen the relationships that remain central to our work. It was a reminder that meaningful partnerships are built not only through the solutions we provide, but also through open conversations, continued trust, and a shared commitment to long-term success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon a success. We look forward to continuing to support our clients and building lasting relationships anchored in trust, exceptional service and shared success.

Following the success of last year's event, JW Seagon Insurance Brokers and Spencer West LLP were delighted to co-host another aviation seminar in Nairobi yesterday. The event brought together operators, financiers, regulators, lawyers, insurers, and other industry stakeholders for an engaging discussion on the opportunities and emerging challenges shaping East Africa's aviation sector.

The panel explored a broad range of topics, including aviation finance and access to capital, the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding aircraft leasing, and the evolving insurance and litigation environment following aviation accidents.

Open and collaborative discussions such as these play a vital role in unlocking the sector's immense potential and supporting the economic growth it can drive. It was evident throughout the conversation that strong collaboration among stakeholders is essential to addressing industry challenges and fostering sustainable development across the aviation ecosystem.

A special thank you to our moderator, David Nolan, Chief Commercial Officer – General Broking, for expertly guiding the discussion and facilitating an insightful and engaging exchange of ideas throughout the morning.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished panellists:

• Simon Toms – Executive Director, Willis Towers Watson
• Capt. Gilbert Macharia Kibe – Managing Director, Air Transport Consulting Ltd
• Liz Aluvanze – Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Association of Air Operators (KAAO)
• Robert Marete – Deputy Director, NCBA LEASING LLP
• Haanee Khan – Founding Managing Partner, Spencer West LLP - Kenya

Thank you for sharing your invaluable expertise and perspectives, and to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. We look forward to continuing the conversation and playing our part in supporting the continued growth, resilience, and success of the aviation sector across East Africa.

Last week, in recognition of Men’s Mental Health Month, we converged under the theme:
“Breaking the Silence: Men’s Health, Mental Wellness and Support Networks.”

The conversation was grounded in a simple but urgent reality-men’s mental health is often overlooked, not because men do not struggle, but because many are conditioned to suffer in silence.

From a young age, boys are taught to be strong, self-reliant, and emotionally restrained. Over time, this can make vulnerability feel like weakness and silence feel like survival. Yet the impact is profound both at work and at home-truancy, masked depression, anxiety expressed as anger or withdrawal, burnout, substance use, strained relationships, and in too many cases, su***de.

One truth stood out clearly: Silence does not protect men-it isolates them. And isolation deepens the struggle.

At JW Seagon, we continue to reaffirm our commitment to changing this narrative by normalising open conversations, strengthening support systems, and creating psychologically safe spaces where men can speak, seek help, and be heard without judgment.

We extend our gratitude to all who participated with honesty and courage. Every conversation helps move us from silence to support, and from stigma to understanding.

Because men’s mental health matters-and breaking the silence is where healing begins!

42.2 Kilometres. Three Colleagues. One Team.

At JW Seagon, we often speak about resilience, discipline, teamwork and going the extra mile for our clients.

Last month, three members of our team put those values to the ultimate test on the streets of Cape Town.

Representing Team JW Seagon at the 2026 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon were Amon Kipkorir, Innocent Chengek and Bonface Ndege. Having earned their place through outstanding performances at the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon, they embarked on a journey that would demand six months of preparation, sacrifice and commitment.

For each of them, this was their first competitive full marathon. And what a debut it was:

🏅 Amon Kipkorir – 3:42
🏅 Innocent Chengek – 3:53
🏅 Bonface Ndege – 3:57

Three first-time marathon runners. Three sub-four-hour finishes. One extraordinary achievement.

Whether we are supporting a client through a complex claim, navigating market challenges, delivering a strategic project, or building a business for the future, success rarely comes from short bursts of effort. It comes from consistency. It comes from discipline. It comes from refusing to quit when things become difficult.

At JW Seagon, we are incredibly proud of Amon, Innocent and Bonface.

Their achievement reflects the culture we continue to build across our business — one that values growth, resilience, wellbeing and the courage to challenge ourselves beyond what we believe is possible.

Congratulations, gentlemen.

You have demonstrated what it means to embody the spirit of JW Seagon.
