Last Friday, participants of the Uganda Top100 SMEs survey convened at Hotel Africana for a Gala Dinner, where outstanding enterprises were recognised for their performance and resilience.
In his opening remarks, Stephen Ineget, the Country Managing Partner of KPMG Uganda, reflected on the significant opportunities available to SMEs that embrace innovation, formalise their operations, adopt technological advancements, and strengthen governance practices. He noted that the resilience of Uganda’s private sector is anchored not only in the achievements being celebrated, but also in the ongoing dialogue, shared learning, and collaboration that drive continuous improvement.
Stephen Ineget, and his fellow Partners; Moses Busingye, and Asad Lukwago joined industry leaders in presenting awards to the top performers. Pearl on the Nile emerged as the Pinnacle Award winner and Eastern Region Champion, followed by Gofan Safaris & Travel Africa as the First Runner-Up. Jomok Factory Limited secured third place and was recognised as the Central Region Champion, while Spary Race East Africa Limited took fourth position and earned the title of Western Region Champion.
The evening also celebrated Freight in Time (FiT) Uganda Limited for achieving the notable milestone of graduating to Club101.
