The Islamic Finance Students and Alumni Association (IFSAA) was formed in February 2014 by UMMA UNIVERSITY students. Its an association of former and current students of Umma University who had taken/taking a course in Islamic Finance. our intended objectives:
To cater for the welfare of students through:
-Establishing a mechanism of cordial and constructive engagement with the administration to
deal with matters affecting the students.
-Develop a mechanism for peer support and evaluation, with the aim to encourage upcoming talent as well as ideas exchange between members,
-Develop collaboration with other stakeholders in Islamic Finance with the aim of establisshing market for association members in the industry.
-Popularize Islamic Banking and Enlightening its importance to the Kenyan public...
- Building a knowledge base for reference by members through regular update of events and technological advances affecting Islamic Finance.
-Develop a network and forum for interaction between members of IFSAA ans scholars/professionals in the industry through organization of symposiums as well as an official social media.
-To be the drivers of change and development of a Fully Sharia compliant Islamic Banking and Finance nationally and globally through research and education. Any person who would wish to join forces with others and preserve the Islamic heritage in Islamic Banking, through exchange of ideas, highlighting issues in banking that do not conform with Islamic teachings, or has Ideas on how to improve on Islamic banking in Kenya is most welcome.
