A dividend yield is a year’s worth of dividend payments divided by a stock price. If the stock price goes down, the dividend yield goes up.....Big dividends can be tempting. However, they can also be a sign that the market believes the dividend is unsustainable....so do not buy a stock for its fat dividend yield. you may end up making a huge mistake.

When a company's debt-to-equity ratio — a measure of how leveraged a company is...keeps climbing higher, know that sooner or later that company will find itself headed for disaster..and as an investor it will only be a matter of time for it to hit a bottom and for you to pick up the pieces by buying that company's stock for pennies on the shilling/dollar.

Nearly 76% of hydro (electricity) power cost in Kenya is imported i.e the oil used for production,dollar rate fluctuations metals, machinery etc.

Hydroelectricity power generation is costly for Kenya...with this in mind GoK should focus on tapping alternative green energy power (solar, wind, tides, plants, algae, geothermal etc.) into the power grid and the net productivity impact effect will trickle down to boosting the economy and add value to all Kenyans..plus green energy resources are renewable thus naturally replenished.
