Every year, institutions of higher learning release thousands of qualified graduates into the job market which outnumbers the available employment opportunities in Kenya's economy.

“About 50, 000 graduates are churned out of public and private universities in Kenya every year piling onto the number of unemployed youth in the country estimated at 2.3 million.” ministry of Education - Kenya.

“It takes a university graduate an average of five years to secure a job in Kenya today, a new study reveals. Enrolment in universities (both public and private) rose to 324, 560 students up from 240, 551 students the previous year, with the number of universities in Kenya standing at 67.” Economic Survey – by Ministry of Education, 2014.
However, this does not translate to Kenya’s inability to absorb them; the country has multiple opportunities to create sustainable employment for all when proper mechanisms are put in place. If the available skills and talents can be tapped to develop locally available resources and turn them into sustainable social ventures, the number of job opportunities would increase reducing job market unemployment crisis.
Our Self-Reliance Entrepreneurship program will be a social enterprise accelerator platform that will nurture social entrepreneurship through enhancement of innovations and talent development by providing an intensive training program to create sustainable and responsible social impact.
