These levels were developed on the basis of the specific needs of an idea in terms of what is required to turn the idea into a successful venture. The services provided include:
(i) Provision of excellent facilities including space, utilities, high speed internet, among others
(ii) Mentoring services (from both professional and distinguished mentors)
(iii) Links with professionals with specific
technical skills to complement mentoring in (ii) above
(iv) Provision of financial support (Seed capital and soft loans with assistance from partners)
(v) Pitching forums (with attendance of venture capitalists, investors, etc)
Chandaria BIIC is currently using the virtual platform (virtual incubation) so as to provide its services to off-Centre incubates located out of Nairobi. This is one of the ways of increasing access to incubation services to Kenyans irrespective of their geographical location.
