This is the amount QuePay has processed in transactions in the past few months since we started installing them.
This is actual revenue that was not tracked by these small businesses which operate these automated vending systems like water and milk ATMs. This is a locally crafted solution to a problem faced by many of these businesses which have been dependent fully on the reports by their attendants thereby losing a lot of revenue.
We recently onboarded a milk co-operative in Uasin Gishu who were facing similar problems. They relied on end of week tallied records of how much they sold. Now every executive privy can see exactly how much has been made in sales, what times the most is sold, how much is remaining in the tank and the exact quantity sold in real time. From a few weeks trial period they have seen the value, have ordered and are installing the QuePay system in everyone of their outlets.
This insight and transparency is invaluable to such organizations and even bigger organizations like counties and impact funds looking to track exactly how much impact their programs have.
We have since seen a similar problem with small businesses operating pool and entertainment facilities. There are over 30,001 pool tables across Kenya alone and these business owners are still at the mercy of their attendants. We have built a thoroughly tested version of QuePay for such systems as well and started installing them this December.
