The forum brought together government leaders, policy experts, and Kenya’s private sector to explore pathways for scaling green innovations, renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, and green manufacturing.

This past weekend, our team participated in the 10 km run at the Kaptagat Conservation Marathon hosted by the Principal Secretary for the National Treasury, Dr. Chris Kiptoo. The event was preceded by a Corporate Tree Planting at Simotwo Boys High School on the 11th of July.

The program provided them with essential knowledge and practical skills in climate finance, carbon markets, and mitigation strategies.

Yesterday, our CEO Irene Keino was in attendance at the signing ceremony for transaction advisory & placement services between CPF Capital & Advisory, (a subsidiary company of CPF Group and Everstrong Capital at Nairobi Serena Hotel.

The event spearheaded fundraising efforts for the USAHIHI Nairobi-Mombasa Expressway, a landmark expressway connecting Nairobi and Mombasa that promises to redefine the infrastructure landscape in Kenya and beyond.

KNCCI AND STRATHMORE BUSINESS SCHOOL TO COLLABORATE ON ESG INITIATIVES

The KNCCI Energy, Climate Change, and ESG Committee held a meeting yesterday with the leadership of Strathmore Business School to explore areas of collaboration.

The agreed areas of focus include:
1. Awareness and training on ESG,
2. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore diverse opportunities for partnership,
3. Research and adaptation initiatives.

The meeting also resolved to develop a training program for the KNCCI board and select committees on ESG. Additionally, it was agreed to identify a specific KNCCI sector for ESG training with the goal of replicating its success across other sectors within KNCCI.

The Strathmore Business School team included: Dr. Caesar Mwangi, Executive Dean of Strathmore Business School, Dr. Kellen Kariuki, Associate Dean – Executive Education, and Shadrack Mwangangi, Director – Executive Education.

The KNCCI Energy, Climate Change, and ESG Committee was represented by: Ms. Irene Keino, Chairperson (CEO of GreenCo ESG Consultants), and
Committee members Dr. Faith Mwaura and Josephine Obinga.

Additionally, Ruth Ouma and Ken Waliaula, the committee’s technical support team, also attended the meeting.
