You want to drive your UNREGISTERED car either from a Showroom or from Mombasa to your home? Ok.
As Ramugo Insurance Agency our small advice to you👇👇👇.

1. The Showroom will give you a Green (KD) Number Plate to use temporarily.
KD means Kenya (motor vehicle) Dealers.

It is specifically meant for transferring the car from a Showroom to the next, or to a customer or for a test drive. That is why it is sold to the Dealers only by the NTSA.

2. Before uweke hii Green Plate kwa gari yako, itisha Insurance Cover yake.
Every KD Plate should be Insured separately.
Majority of the owners of those KD Plates may have secured "affordable"Insurance Covers from Insurance Companies that you might not be comfortable with. So angalia vizuri and consult.

3. The driver of your new car should have a valid Driver’s License.

4. If the Showroom has recorded that you are transferring the car from Kiambu Road to Thika, it must not have an accident at Ngong. I’m only saying this is not a number plate for picnics. Ukitaka girlfriend yako ajue umenunua C-200 ngojea number plate yako itoke.

5. I repeat, angalia Insurance ya hiyo Green KD plate sana. Majority of these plates nowadays are in the hands of reckless brokers, sadly. Huwanga wanakodisha per day.
So, in some cases they will tell you that the Insurance is good when it’s not even valid.
Be careful. Otherwise hiyo gari ikiibiwa ama ichomeke ama ipate accident nobody will pay you. So be careful.

6. The person who is driving this car must not carry passengers. Mkipata accident nobody pays you.

Alafu your new number plate at the NTSA is processed within a week, so sijui unafanya nini na KD mwezi mzima. Toa. Weka number plate yako.
