VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
BACKGROUND:
Succeed Capital Limited is a credit-only microfinance institution registered in Kenya under the Companies Act cap 486, specializing in short term emergency lending.
To catch up with the increasing demands of our clients, we are planning to establish branches in Ndhiwa, Muhuru, and Nyandiwa towns. Towards this ambition, we are seeking to recruit suitable staff for the position of LOAN OFFICERS (4 positions) on full time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Loan Monitoring – Responsible for the management of a portfolio of loans, including developing a relationship with each borrower and conducting regular loan monitoring reviews. The officer will prepare reviews for each loan on a regular schedule to review overall asset quality, including performance against original underwriting expectations. (S)he will also be in communication with the clients on any possible listing with the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
• Non-performing Loans –Manage non-performing loans, including but not limited to conducting site inspections (both business and residence), appraisal reviews, and borrower or project financial analysis, and preparing demand letters.
• Repossession and Disposal of Assets –Liaise with auctioneers, debt collectors and investigators to locate, seize and dispose of assets of loans that have defaulted, within the law.
• Client relationship-- Advising and updating the customers continuously.
• Reporting-- Timely and accurate preparation of status reports to the Manager and CEO; Reviewing monthly collections and ensuring that the set monthly targets are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with the Credit Policy and regulatory compliance standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A Degree or Diploma in any field (qualifications in business field including KATC/CPA/ Legal experience/Qualification in Credit management/ Debt recovery will be a definite advantage) • Technology Skills: Computer literate with proficiency in MS office
• Ability to maintain high sense of confidentiality.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in working within targets and strict deadlines.
• Good planning, analytical and monitoring skills
