Last week, we concluded our 13th Annual General Meeting, marking a significant milestone in shaping the organization’s direction and strengthening its commitment to impactful, community-driven development. discussions centered on a comprehensive review of the past year’s performance and key achievements, alongside forward-looking resolutions that will guide our work in the coming period.

In his address to the National Associates and staff, the Board Chairperson reaffirmed our new strategic direction, which focuses on strengthening resilience not only within the communities we serve but also within our organization. . He underscored the critical role of partnerships as a cornerstone of our success, acknowledging the continued support from our partners, including collaboration with County Governments.

As we move forward, we remain committed to translating these resolutions into meaningful action. Together, with our partners, stakeholders, and communities, we continue to work towards sustainable solutions that serve the common good and create lasting impact.

Last week, we conducted a practical training on beekeeping, equipping community members with essential skills in colony establishment, hive management, bee nutrition, pest and disease control, routine hive inspection, and marketing of bee products.

The training focused on building a clear understanding of how to manage bees effectively using locally available resources, while also helping participants see how beekeeping can fit into their everyday livelihoods.

With these skills, participants are now better prepared to start or improve their beekeeping activities, with the potential to earn income from honey and related products.
