FarmDrive

FarmDrive FarmDrive exists to ensure smallholder farmers in Africa have access to productive loans. Through this data, we make informal economies visible and valuable.

Our innovation aims at increasing access to finance /credit /funding to smallholder farmers in Kenya and Africa at large. Our vision is to raise the economic profiles of smallholder households trapped in subsistence agriculture due to lack of finance . Strategic decision making when it comes to programs to help smallholder farmers has to be based on data and facts. Due to lack of information abo

ut smallholder farmers, they are perceived as high risk hence locked out of financial systems. At FarmDrive,we strongly believe that solutions have to be innovated to reduce the risk that is associated with smallholder farmers. We have started by addressing the gaps in data about smallholder households through a digital record keeping platform that farmers can access through mobile phones via SMS or mobile web. It is the basis for access to capital, suppliers, aggregating produce for market and disseminating timely and tailored information to farmers.
