Kintaikyo Bridge – One of Japan's Three Famous Bridges

First built in 1673, Kintaikyo Bridge is a beautiful five-arch wooden bridge spanning the Nishiki River. Its distinctive design and intricate timber construction showcase the ingenuity of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, a legacy that has captivated visitors through the ages. Surrounded by the Nishiki River and nature, the bridge offers a different view with each season🌸🍁

🚍 Kintaikyo Bridge is approximately 60 minutes by highway bus from central Hiroshima and is also easily accessible by train. It is an ideal addition to a trip combining Hiroshima and Iwakuni, allowing you to enjoy the history, culture, and natural beauty of both destinations.

特別展「猫のダヤン誕生40周年　ダヤンと不思議な旅　池田あきこ原画展」開催中

誕生40周年を迎えた『猫のダヤンとわちふぃーるどの世界』
その不思議な世界の様々な風景を、パステル画の新作を中心に「パステル回帰」と「わちふぃーるどの旅」の二つのキーワードで展開する記念原画展は蘭島閣美術館・三之瀬御本陣芸術文化館で開催中！ぜひご覧ください。

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of *Dayan the Cat and the World of Wachifield*.
A commemorative exhibition of original artwork is currently on view at the Rantokaku Art Museum and the Sannosegohonjin Art Museum, showcasing various scenes from this mysterious world—centered on new pastel works—under the two themes of “Return to Pastel” and “Journey Through Wachifield”!

🏮 Sumiyoshi Jinja Shrine “Sumiyoshisan” Summer Festival 🏮
One of Hiroshima’s Three Major Festivals
July 27 (Mon) & 28 (Tue), 2026
Experience one of Hiroshima’s signature summer traditions at Sumiyoshi Jinja Shrine.

A highlight of the festival is the Hiroshima Kangen-sai, a traditional boat ceremony featuring centuries-old Kogi-Denma rowing boats. Among Hiroshima’s Three Major Festivals, Sumiyoshisan is the only one featuring traditional boat events. 🚣
The festival also offers lively stage performances, food stalls, and fireworks after sunset. 🎆
