Starting out in the workplace can feel like a big step, and work experience programmes plays an important role in making that transition easier.

For four of our recent work experience colleagues in the US, that experience also led to permanent opportunities with JTC – a fantastic reflection of their hard work and talent.

From Austin to Boston and Sioux Falls, Karlye Maras, Aidan Figueroa and David Kudla each joined JTC looking for meaningful experience and the chance to learn in a supportive environment. Their stories reflect the value of learning on the job, being part of a collaborative team and making the most of every opportunity. We’re delighted to have them continuing their careers with JTC and look forward to seeing what they achieve next.

❤️ Walking for a healthier future

Our Sioux Falls colleagues recently got together to take part in the American Heart Walk, a flagship event supporting the fight against heart disease and stroke.

We're happy to say that the team raised over $500, which will support medical research, CPR training and community health programmes.

And they weren’t stopping there! To take their fundraising even further, an office pizza party was held where colleagues made donations while enjoying a slice (or two 🍕).

A great example of joining together, giving back and making every contribution count. 💜

On 9 August, South Africa marks National Women’s Day - a powerful tribute to the courage, resilience and impact of women. 💜

Inspired by this year’s theme, “Empowered Women, Empower the Nation,” and as we mark the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Women’s March, we were proud to host a special panel discussion with JTC employees Carmen Ismail, Azelle Kay, Nontembeko Limekaya and Fagmeeda Kippie.

Our panelists shared honest reflections on embracing change, overcoming challenges and growing throughout their careers. Over high tea, guests had the opportunity to connect and celebrate the power of women supporting women. 🌸

August is ‘Wellbeing Month’, and at JTC, we’ve taken the opportunity to highlight our ‘Wellbeing & Mind’ colleague community. Led by Senior Client Services Director, Mariana Enevoldsen, the group shared their quick self-care tips to help people take small actions to have a more balanced life.

Along with highlighting our Employee Assistance Programme, Mental Health First Aiders and Menopause Champions, all of which provide vital support to colleagues who need it.

🏇 We're off to the races in Edinburgh for our next summer social!

While the sunshine didn’t quite make an appearance, the classic Scottish weather certainly did, with plenty of heavy rain ⛈️. Thankfully, that did nothing to dampen spirits, and the team made the most of a fantastic evening together.

🎉 After the races, the celebrations continued in style with a 90s-themed disco, complete with glowsticks, great music and plenty of dancing. Win or lose on the racecourse, everyone had a brilliant time.

Celebrating summer nights in Guernsey ☀️

Taking full advantage of the sunny weather, our Guernsey team recently took to the beach for some games and a paddle, followed by a delicious al fresco dinner. It was great to see so many happy, smiling faces coming together for some fun in the sun. 🥳

Our Mauritius team represented JTC at the recent Mauritius Finance Career Fair, connecting with students, graduates and professionals exploring careers in financial services.

With more than 2,000 visitors and 22 organisations in attendance, the event was a valuable opportunity to showcase JTC’s global reach, career pathways and commitment to supporting Mauritius’ financial services sector.

Thank you to Mauritius Finance for hosting a successful sector-wide event that strengthens Mauritius’ financial services industry and help build a sustainable talent pipeline for the future. Thank you also to our colleagues who helped showcase life at JTC on the day.

🤠 Grab your hats - it's time for a hoedown!

Our Jersey team pulled off another unforgettable summer party, this year with a wild west twist. From line dancing and lasso ring toss to a shoot-em-out station, a delicious BBQ spread and haybales galore, it had all the ingredients for a rootin’-tootin’ evening. And yes… Dolly Parton even made an appearance (in tribute form 😉). 🎶

With around 300 colleagues joining the fun, it was our biggest social event yet - and a brilliant way to round off the 9 to 5 with a little country flair.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fantastic evening. Yeehaw! 🌵

☀️ Summer at JTC starts here…

As sunshine fills our offices across the globe, we’re celebrating the many ways JTC colleagues have been enjoying summer together.

Our first stop is the Isle of Man, where the team spent a relaxed afternoon at beautiful Port Erin Beach. From three stylish beach huts and some friendly beach games to pizza delivered straight to the shore, it was the perfect way to mark the halfway point of the year.

Moments like these are a great reminder to pause, reflect on everything we’ve achieved together and celebrate the people who make JTC such a great place to work.

Not every office lunch comes with a view like this. ⛵

Last weekend, our colleagues in Boston came together for an office family fun day enjoying lunch, snacks and drinks while watching the Sail Boston ships pass by from our office windows.

Sail Boston is a non-profit organisation that develops programmes to provide economic development and cultural enrichment for citizens, businesses and visitors across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Traditionally these tall ships visit the area every 10 years and this year marked the 250th anniversary of their nation’s founding. To celebrate this milestone, a fleet of the world’s most impressive international tall and military ships sailed into the port of Boston.

This was a great way for the team to come together and enjoy each other's company while experiencing this memorable event. 🌊
