Today’s the day! 🎉

Gorey Fête is here and we’re delighted to be supporting this much-loved community event once again, alongside Jersey Post.

There’s a fantastic day ahead, with live music, family entertainment, fancy dress, competitions and plenty more happening throughout the day.

A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to make Gorey Fête happen, so we’d like to wish the brilliant committee and volunteers a wonderful day and hopefully plenty of sunshine! ☀️

After all the planning, organising and preparation, Gorey Fête is finally here!

The gates open at 10am and we’ve got a fantastic day ahead with live music, family entertainment, fancy dress, competitions and plenty more right through to the evening.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who work so hard behind the scenes to make today happen.

Last month, while the sun was shining, the Jersey Mutual team enjoyed a fantastic RIB trip with our friends at Rathbones.

It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our desks, enjoy Jersey from a different perspective and spend time together out on the water. Days like these remind us how lucky we are to call this beautiful island home.

A big thank you to Rathbones for a brilliant afternoon.

Is your home insured for enough? 🏡

A recent ITV Channel TV report has highlighted the very real consequences of being underinsured, after a Jersey homeowner discovered following a fire that her property was significantly underinsured.

It’s an important reminder that the market value of your home and the cost of rebuilding it are not the same thing and rising construction costs can mean the amount needed to rebuild changes over time.

At Jersey Mutual, we recommend index linking to help sums insured keep pace with changing costs. However, it’s also important to regularly review your cover and make sure the figures remain appropriate for your home and contents.

We have useful information and calculators on our website to help you consider whether your sums insured are adequate.

The line-up for Gorey Fête is here… and it looks fantastic!

As proud sponsors of this much-loved community event, we’re looking forward to a day full of live music, family entertainment, great food, and plenty of fun at Gorey Pier.

Whether you’re coming along for the children’s entertainment, fancy dress competition, live bands, the legendary Spaghetti Eating Competition, or staying for the evening entertainment, there’s something for everyone.

Most importantly, by coming along you’ll also be helping to support three fantastic local charities: BeachAbility, Jersey Heart Support Group and Normandy Rescue.

Each year, we will select one local charity to become our primary charitable partner from October to September.

We have had lot of great applications come in so far - we thought we should put out a reminder that applications close on the 5th August, so if you've been thinking about applying...now is time!

We’re proud to once again support one of Jersey’s best-loved community events the Gorey Fete 🎉

This year, we’re delighted to be joined by Jersey Post - another proud local heritage brand - as co-sponsors, helping support an incredible event that brings Islanders together while raising vital funds for local charities.

Since 2018, the Gorey Fête and St Martin Bonfire have donated an amazing **£184,950** to local charities and community causes across the Island ❤️

At Jersey Mutual, we’re proud to support GROW Jersey and the amazing work they do in our community 💚

This weekend, the GROW team will be planting a whole row of squash plants - their main crop for local food banks this year - and they’re looking for some extra helping hands.

If any of our Members would like to get involved, the event is free to attend. Registration simply helps the team know how many people to expect.

It’s a great opportunity to support a local charity, meet new people, and help grow fresh produce for island food banks 🌱🎃

At Jersey Mutual – the home of home insurance – we’re proud to support local initiatives that make a real difference.

Following the storm that destroyed the poly tunnel GROW Jersey we contributed £2,000 to help get things back on track.

GROW are an organisation we’ve been proud to support since the very beginning.

GROW runs hundreds of community and school groups every week, helping to build a more resilient, connected island.
