We are proud to announce the launch of our new company logo and brand identity.

Following the sale of our business in 2017 to Genius Sports, the global leader in sports data and technology, this brand evolution has been undertaken to align the two businesses more closely. Our new logo and brand symbolise our role as a crucial part of Genius Sports, which has more than 1100 employees and is a trusted partner to 500 sports organisations globally.

Since the acquisition, we have formed long-term data and technology partnerships with more than 15 new volleyball leagues and federations across Europe, Asia and Latin America.

While we are changing some aspects of our external brand, our long-standing and dedicated team will continue to provide volleyball leagues, federations and clubs around the world with market-leading software, support, training and expertise with the same proficiency, reliability and professional approach that have been identifying us in the last 30 years.

We would like to take a moment to thank you for your patience during the Holiday in the EU last week, with offices re-opening today, we are working to answer all emails and inquiries. However, some planned maintenance has taken longer than expected and has continued to delay our email server, sometimes resulting in a bounce. Following Genius Sports’ purchase of Data Project s.r.l; and the company’s recent announcement alongside the NCAA, James Wilroy will take up the position of Sports Partnership Manager, U.S. College Sports, at Genius Sports.

Having served as Managing Director of Data Project USA since 2007 and driven the successful implementation of its technology amongst 97 of the top 100 NCAA volleyball Schools, James brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Genius Sports. He has developed training curricula and programs for some of the largest organizations in the sport, including FIVB, and will now drive the adoption of NCAA LiveStats across basketball, volleyball and a number of other sports.

James’ core responsibilities with existing volleyball partnerships will now be assumed and managed by Kyle Homeyer. James will continue in a support and advisory role with volleyball operations throughout the USA and NORCECA zone market.

You're making the move to DataVolley 4 from 2007 and want to know how to transfer all of those years of hard work you put into DV2007 into 4?

- Dont worry, we have you covered with this step-by-step instruction to move DataVolley 2007 and DataVideo 2007 components under one roof.

You can download DataVolley 4 by using the free trial or the full set-up from the personal area of your account on the DataProject website after purchasing (make sure you have USA selected in the regions tab at the top).

1). Please copy/paste the following files from the Data Volley 2007 folder (C:/Data Project/Data Volley 2007/) on the C drive to the Data Volley 4 (C:/Data Project/Data Volley 4/):

"Seasons" folder
"Data Cons" folder
"ttasti.db" located inside the "data" folder

copy and replace all conflicts into the DV4 folder. Make sure to place the "ttasti.db" inside the correct folder, "data".

This will move all of the functional data, scout files, tables and analyses from DV2007 to DV4.

Regarding all those scout files and videos in Dvs_Video folder

You can batch import scouts from "Import from Dvs_Video" on the main screen of the DV4 display by clicking Import.

Choose "Check All" (bottom left checkbox)
-First picture listed below

or check specific matches:
-Second picture listed below

Either way you will still need to relink the scout with video because that data is now stored in header of the DVW and not in a filmlist.cfg file. That means clicking on a scout ant linking" or "assigning" a video to that scout then after saving that will connect the two.

Between December 25 and January 18th, Data Project USA will be CLOSED in observance of Christmas and New Year’s and personal holiday.


During this time, special operations customer service will be managed by experienced contractors through our Data Project USA Help Desk ([email protected]) and our Data Project Customer Service staff [in Italy] ([email protected]; [email protected]). Please note that all inquiries and license requests made to Italy must be made before 11:30 am EST Monday-Friday, all inquiries received after this time will be handled the next business day (the offices in Italy will also be closed December 25- January 2 and on January 6). Please do not call or text James directly during this time as he will be traveling outside the USA and will have limited access to phone or internet and will not be checking or responding to voicemail until after his return.


We will be unable to issue price quotes, process purchase orders and take or verify payment locally. This means that during this period only those purchases made online [purchased by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer] through the Data Project website (www.dataproject.com) using your customer login credentials can be processed.

Data Volley 4 is used by the best teams in volleyball especially in the NCAA, including all four teams in the NCAA Volleyball Championship!
