"BLESSED ASSURANCE IN GOD'S WISDOM"
"But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.”
Proverbs 1:33 (NKJV)
In a world filled with uncertainties, fear, and chaos, we often seek security and peace. Proverbs 1:33 offers us a profound promise of security and tranquility for those who heed the call of wisdom. This verse assures us that when we listen to God's wisdom, we can find safety and freedom from the grip of fear.
Proverbs 1:33 presents a beautiful contrast to the previous warnings. It tells us that those who listen and heed wisdom's call will experience two precious blessings:
Divine Protection: "But whoever listens to me will dwell safely." When we choose to heed God's wisdom and follow His guidance, we place ourselves under His divine protection. He becomes our refuge and fortress, shielding us from harm and danger. In His wisdom, we find safety and security that the world cannot provide.
Freedom from Fear: "And will be secure, without fear of evil." Those who embrace God's wisdom need not live in constant fear of the uncertainties and evils of the world. Trusting in God's providence and wisdom grants us a deep sense of peace. Our faith in Him allows us to face life's challenges with confidence, knowing that He is with us.
Proverbs 1:33 reminds us that our security and peace rest in our relationship with God and our willingness to heed His wisdom. In a world where fear and uncertainty can grip our hearts, we have the assurance that God offers safety and peace to those who trust in Him.
Psalm 46:1 said, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
