Hysan Place is an oasis of natural light, lush greenery, high ceilings and open storefronts in the heart of hectic Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
It also has direct access to the MRTstation and, more important for shoppers, 17 floors of hip, fun, and international brands, all
connected by mean of 40 escalators.

Cleaning maintenance is granted by multinational firm ISS, whom dedicates, on a daily basis, at least 4 hours to the cleaning of all the escalators in service in the building.

ISS has just purchased a number of Eureka EC51 Escalator Cleaners, through Eureka's exclusive dealer for Hong Kong, Sealed Air Hong Kong.
The operation manager at ISS says: "We have chosen Eureka's EC51 as it proved its great ability to fully restore the look and appearance of our escalators & travelators in a very short time, simply and extremely efficiently.
Now we look forward to employ such an advanced cleaning machine for the restoration of additional properties which we take care of, here in Hong Kong"

INTERVIEW WITH A PARTNER-DISTRIBUTOR:
Australian Sweepers Company (ASC), Australia

Eureka interviews Mr.Tony Bilos, founder & MD at Australian Sweeper Company

Q. A note about your business:
A. "ASC has been trading for some 23 years now. It started as a small company selling spare parts for sweepers then diversified into full time sales and rentals of sweepers."
Q. Number of years of association with Eureka:
A. "10"
Q. How did you first find out about Eureka?
A. "We used to sell (......) and (......) machines, but we were fed up with the amount of people we needed to employ to keep them going. They were terribly unreliable and required a large infrastructure in spare parts to support the machines.
At a certain point we went to a few trade shows and really put our engineering hat on the find machines that were designed for heavy duty industrial environments and had in built mechanical characteristics that allowed these machine to run for extended periods of time with little or no service required. Fortunately every Eureka sweeper we tested proved to be best in every category. It was a simple decision to change and start importing in bulk."
Q. What do you feel is Eureka's strength?
A. "Eureka is the only company that totally understands the industrial market, and what dealers require.. They innovate, are pro active, and care not only about how the product is perceived in the market place but also make sure their dealers profit from their efforts."
Q. What changes do you see in our industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for them?
A. "The changes I see is quite simple. Nearly all manufacturers are making their machines cheaper to produce, and easier to break. They result being higher R&M. The market for quality products is getting smaller but for a second time buyer the choice to buy poor quality again is not an option. Eureka makes a quality product and every year their machines add more and more value. At the end of the day Eureka market share can only grow at the expense of other cost base manufacturers."
Q. What have been the biggest operational challenges that you have faced recently, and how have you solved it?
A. "Our biggest challenge has been systematizing the ASC business. With operations across most states of Australia spanning a landscape the size of Europe it is not only expensive but operationally challenging to outlay the network that produces operational efficiency to the end user."
Q. How do you see your relationship with Eureka in 2020?
A. "I see Eureka building a much greater spread of machines including LPG / Diesel/ battery powered sweeper/ scrubbers that will be unmatched by other manufactures, and also building lager capacity sweepers for the public area and street market. I see Eureka growing in markets like the US, Asia and North America."
