We would like to share here our farewell message being sent directly to our wine friends and collaborators. More importantly we would like to thank each and every one of the lovers of our wines for having stimulated and supported our winemaking dream over these years. Batzella wines remain always for you in the future.
“Hello.
The year 2021 that just finished had given so much to the Batzella winery estate, and this great performance is the result of you and us working so well together, in spite of the extraordinary difficult times under Covid. Thank you for your appreciation of our wines, and of your continued support.
22 years ago, it took some courage for us to dive in and start living our winemaker dream. Because if you don’t live it, you are just dreaming of living. 22 years after, it has been such a beautiful journey, we were even called one of the last « wine romantics » by some of our fans and our fellow producers.
So today we must admit that it takes us much more of that courage to say: “Yes, we did it, our way, and now it’s time,” time to hang our hat and let our beautiful dream go forward on its own path (a path so dynamic that even 2 years of Covid could not slow down). Indeed we let it go forward this time with a new younger generation of vintners, that is full of energy and innovation, but well rooted in Tuscany’s history and tradition.
Thank you for having walked with us during all these years, and rest assured that, with the same team guided by Winemaker Attilio Pagli which has been our wine family for the last 18 years, Batzella wines will remain always artisan wines that speak of terroir and of emotions.
We wish you a new year 2022 full of joy, success and serenity.
