The certification of QUALITY CONTROL will be given by QMECH on successful completion of the course as prescribed by us. This will be strictly based on the regular modular examination conducted here. For issuing the ASNT level ll certificates separate examinations will be conducted for Radiographic Test (RT), Ultrasonic Test (UT) Magnetic particle Test (MT) and Penetrant test (PT) by an external Level lll examiner of American Society for Non Destructive test (ASNT). The ASNT certificates have international validity and are issued as annexure to the certificate of Quality Control.

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION

The final year students as well as the students who have completed Degree
(B-Tech) in any disciplines are eligible for admission. Course is also offered for candidates with Diploma/ITI in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Aero-space and Marine engineering disciplines.

CLASS TIMING

9:30 AM to 1:00 PM./1:30 pm to 5:00 pm(Saturday & Sunday holiday)

Total duration of the course is 2 months.

തന്റെ പരിചയക്കാരനായ ഹോട്ടലുടമയോട് ആ വൃദ്ധനെക്കുറിച്ച് തിരക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഹരിക്കത് ഒരു കൗതുകമെന്നതില്‍ കവിഞ്ഞു മറ്റൊന്നുമായിരുന്നില്ല.അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ തന്നെ നിമിത്തങ്ങളിലോ ജന്മാന്തരബന്ധങ്ങളിലോ അവന്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലല്ലോ. വൃദ്ധനാകട്ടെ രാവിലെ കൃത്യമായി ജോലിക്ക് വരും, മേശ തുടക്കലും മറ്റുമായി തിരക്കിലാകും. പിന്നെ പാത്രങ്ങളെല്ലാം കഴുകിവെച്ച് സൂര്യാസ്തമയമാകുമ്പോള്‍ തിരിച്ചു പോകും.

ഹോട്ടലുടമ തനിക്കു അറിയാവുന്നത് ഹരിയോട് വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ഒറ്റക്കാണ് വൃദ്ധൻ താമസം. കൂലി മുഴുവനായും കിട്ടാതെ അയാള് പോകില്ല. ഹോട്ടലുടമക്ക് അക്കാര്യത്തിൽ അയാളോട് നീരസമുണ്ട്. ഭക്ഷണം ഹോട്ടലിൽ നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ, പിന്നെ കൂലി ഒന്ന് രണ്ടു ദിവസം കിട്ടിയില്ലെങ്കിലെന്ത്?.

ഹോട്ടലുടമയുടെ അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള അഗതിമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ കവാടത്തിൽ ദിവസവും സൂര്യാസ്തമയത്തിനു ശേഷം ആരോ കുറച്ചു പണം വെച്ച് പോകുന്നുണ്ട്. മക്കളില്ലാത്തൊരു റിട്ടയേഡ്‌ അധ്യാപിക, തെരുവിലുപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടി തുടങ്ങിയതും അവരുടെ മരണശേഷം തീര്‍ത്തും അനാഥമായിപ്പോയതുമായൊരു അഗതിമന്ദിരമാണത്. വയസ്സായ മൂന്നു അമ്മമാര്‍ ഇപ്പോഴുവിടെ അന്തേവാസികളായുണ്ട്. ഈ വൃദ്ധനാണ് ഗേറ്റിൽ പണം കൊണ്ട്പോയി വെക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ഹോട്ടലുടമ സംശയിക്കുന്നു.

കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഹരിക്ക് താല്പര്യമായി. എങ്കിലും വൃദ്ധന്റെ മൗനത്തിനു പിന്നിൽ സങ്കടത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കടലിരമ്പുന്നുണ്ടാകുമെന്നും ഒരിക്കലത് ചോദിച്ചറിയണമെന്നും ഹരി ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

രണ്ടാഴ്ച കഴിഞ്ഞു കാണണം പതിവ് പോലെ കാപ്പി കുടിക്കാനായി ഹോട്ടലില്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് ഹരി ആ വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞത്.. വൃദ്ധന്‍ മരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!.

ഹോട്ടലുടമക്കൊപ്പം ഹരിയും മരണ വീട്ടിലെത്തി. അധികം ആളും ബഹളവുമില്ല. ഒരു മകനുള്ളത് കുടുംബവുമായി മുംബൈയിലാണ്. അവരെ ബന്ധപ്പെടാൻ ആരൊക്കെയോ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

രാത്രിയുടെ ഏതോ യാമത്തിലാണ് വൃദ്ധന്‍ മരിച്ചത്. കാലത്ത് അയാളുടെ വളർത്തു പൂച്ചകള്‍ അസാധാരണമായി ഒച്ച വെക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു അയല്‍ പക്കത്തെ ചേച്ചി ചെന്ന് നോക്കുകയായിരുന്നുവത്രേ. തലേദിവസം കൂടെ ഒരു മിഠായിപ്പൊതി കയ്യിൽ പിടിച്ചു കസേരയിൽ ഇരുന്നു കണ്ണീർ വാർക്കുന്നത് ആ ചേച്ചി കണ്ടിരുന്നുവത്രേ. തന്റെ കൊച്ചുമോനെ ഒരു നോക്ക് കാണാൻ അയാള് ഏറെ കൊതിച്ചിരുന്നിരിക്കണം.

സമയം വൈകുന്നു. ഉദകക്രിയകള്‍ ചെയ്യണം. വൃദ്ധനുമായി തനിക്കു എന്തോ മുജ്ജന്മബന്ധമുള്ളതായി ഹരിക്ക് തോന്നി. ആളുകള് അടക്കം പറയുന്നത് ഗൗനിക്കാതെ അവൻ മുന്നോട്ട് വന്നു. മിഥ്യകളില്‍ അഭിരമിച്ചു ജന്മവേരുകൾ തന്നെ മറന്നു പോയൊരു മകനെ ഇനിയും കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതിൽ അർത്ഥമില്ലെന്ന് ഹരിക്കറിയാമായിരുന്നു.

എല്ലാം കഴിഞ്ഞു തിരികെ പോരുമ്പോള്‍ എവിടെ നിന്നോ ഒരു പൂച്ചകുഞ്ഞു വന്നു ഹരിയുടെ കാലില്‍ തൊട്ടുരുമ്മി. അതവനിൽ വിവിധ വികാരങ്ങളുടെ വേലിയേറ്റമുണ്ടാക്കി.

വീട്ടിലെത്തി ഹരി അല്‍പനേരം വിശ്രമിച്ചു. സൂര്യാസ്തമ സമയമായപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ഞെട്ടിയെഴുന്നേറ്റു. വൃദ്ധന്‍ ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്ന അതെ സമയം. ഹരി ഓര്‍ത്തു.

പിറ്റേന്ന് ഹോട്ടലുടമ ഹരിയോട് പറഞ്ഞു .. "നോക്കൂ ഹരി, നമ്മൾ കരുതിയ പോലെ ആ വൃദ്ധനായിരുന്നില്ല അതിനു പിന്നില്‍, ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയും അഗതി മന്ദിരത്തിൽ പണം ലഭിച്ചു."

പകുതി കൂലിക്ക് ഒരു ബംഗാളിയെ ജോലിക്ക് വെച്ചുവെന്നും വൃദ്ധൻ പാഴായി പോയ ഒരു ജന്മമായിരുന്നുവന്നും തന്റെ വിലകൂടിയ റിസ്റ്റ് വാച്ച് ഹരിയെ കാണിക്കുന്നതിനിടയിൽ ഹോട്ടലുടമ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഹരി എന്ത്കൊണ്ടോ മൗനം ഭജിച്ചു. ആ മൗനത്തിൽ പക്ഷെ തന്റെ ജന്മനിയോഗം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതിന്റെ തിരയിളക്കമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

"There are still 54 POWs missing in Pakistan . All of the them were captured alive including CO of 47 Sqn, Wg Cdr "High Speed" Gill. It is unlikely that they are still alive. I am certain they must have endured horrific torture before their deaths."


The Dining Hall of the National Defence Academy , Khadakwasla.

At the entrance of the Dining Hall of NDA Khadakwasla, there is a table set for one, with the chair tilted forward. This table is set for the Armed Forces Personnel who are Prisoners of War and forgotten, in the hope that they will return one day.

The Placard on the table has following written on it:

“The table set is small, for one, symbolizing the frailty of one prisoner against his oppressors.

The single rose displayed in a vase reminds us of the families and loved ones of our comrades-in-arms who keep their faith awaiting their return.

The Red Ribbon tied so prominently on the vase is reminiscent of the red ribbon worn upon the lapel and breasts of thousands who bear witness to their unyielding determination to demand a proper accounting of our missing.

The candle is unlit, symbolizing the upward reach of their unconquerable spirit.

The slice of Lemon is on the bread plate, to remind us of the bitter fate.

There is salt upon the bread plate – symbolic of the families’ tears as they wait.

The Glass is inverted, they cannot toast with us this night.

The chair – it is empty. They are not here.

Remember! All of you who served with them and called them comrades, who depended upon their might and aid, and relied upon them, for surely, they have not forsaken you.

Remember until the day they come home…”

What really can be the reason for our Politicians & Bureaucrats to so be blissfully unconcerned about the plight of the countless of our Armed Forces Personnel who have time and again unflinchingly surrendered their life and freedom only to uphold our Country's HONOUR, DIGNITY, and INTEGRITY ? ? ?

Is it that our Country's Honour, Dignity, and Integrity means NOTHING to them???
