DYFI was formed on 3rd November 1980 from it’s inaugural conference held at Saheed Kartar Singh Saraba Village, Ludhiana, Punjab from 31st October to 3rd November.
* DYFI stands for Communal harmony.
* DYFI demands Job for all.
* DYFI demands Education for all.
* DYFI opposes Anti-democracy and sectaria

n movements, Anti-people economic policies guided by IMF-WB-WTO, Imperialist aggression over third war.
* DYFI fights for Scientific socialism. Anyone can become a member of it. DYFI conducted several agitations against unemployment and price hike. It goes on conducting intense agitations and propagations against religious fanaticism and terrorism. It fights the pseudo spiritualism too. DYFI stands firmly for secularism. All along India it is engaged in various charitable activities. Eradication of illiteracy is one of its programme. The part played by DYFI for transforming Kerala into a complete literate state is remarkable.In the long battle against the Fascist, Terrorist forces and the dirty policies of the ruling class, a good number of DYFI youths sacrificed their precious lives continuous fighting that is the reason for the growth of DYFI. It stands firmly for the liberation of the downtrodden, suffering, exploited class. DYFI is the biggest organisation in India, and the second biggest in the World (Youth Movement of China is the biggest in the World). Quarter of a century is over since the formation of DYFI-Democratic Youth Federation of India. Today it is the highest youth movement in India, tremendous achievements got is its credit.

കേരളത്തിനെതിരെ വിദ്വേഷ പ്രചരണം ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി നിർമ്മിച്ച ‘ദി കേരള സ്റ്റോറി’യെന്ന സിനിമയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഭാഗം പുറത്തിറക്കാനുള്ള നീക്കം പ്രതിഷേധാർഹമാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ മതസൗഹാർദ്ദം തകർക്കാനുള്ള വർഗ്ഗീയ ശക്തികളുടെ ശ്രമമാണ് ഇതിന് പിറകിൽ.

മതേതരത്വത്തിനും സാമുദായിക സൗഹാർദത്തിനും പേരുകേട്ട കേരളത്തെ വിഷം തേച്ച നുണകൾ പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ച് അപമാനിക്കാനുള്ള സംഘപരിവാർ നീക്കത്തിന്റെ തുടർച്ചയായാണ് ദി കേരള സ്റ്റോറി എന്ന സിനിമ നേരത്തെ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയത്. ആ സിനിമക്കെതിരെ അതിശക്തമായ പ്രതിഷേധം കേരളം ഉയർത്തിയിരുന്നു.
അതിൻ്റെ രണ്ടാം ഭാഗം ഇറക്കുക വഴി കേരളത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങളെ ഭിന്നിപ്പിച്ച് അതിൽ നിന്നും രാഷ്ട്രീയനേട്ടം കൊയ്യാമെന്ന സംഘപരിവാർ വ്യാമോഹം വിലപ്പോവില്ല.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പുരോഗതിക്കും രാജ്യത്തിന് മാതൃകയാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ കഥ ലോകത്തെ അറിയിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഒരു ഭാഗമായ ഈ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുക വഴി രാജ്യത്തെ തന്നെയാണ് ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള സാങ്കല്പിക കഥകൾ അപമാനിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് സംഘപരിവാർ തിരിച്ചറിയണം.തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് മുന്നിൽ കണ്ടുള്ള ബിജെപി യുടെ ഇത്തരം നുണ പ്രചരണങ്ങളെ പ്രബുദ്ധ മലയാളി സമൂഹം തള്ളിക്കളയുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും.

കേരളത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നതും രാജ്യത്ത് വംശീയവും വർഗീയവുമായ വിദ്വേഷം ഇളക്കി വിടാനും ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്ന ദി കേരള സ്റ്റോറിയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഭാഗം പുറത്തിറക്കാനുള്ള നീക്കത്തിനെതിരെ ഡിവൈഎഫ്ഐ സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറിയേറ്റ് ശക്തമായ പ്രതിഷേധം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
