PROJECT INTERVENTION
Objective
The SFURTI Scheme focuses on preserving traditional arts of India, which can be done only if the art is connected with the income of artisans. The objective of this project is mobilization, capacity building, innovative & creative design development for collective approach towards production of viable and
profitable products for sale in domestic and international market to generate additional income through skilled labour and profit sharing of SPV. Requirements
To establish the Moonj Handicraft Cluster Mobilization, Orientation, Awareness of 525 artisans is the first step for which a Cluster Development Executive (CDE) is required. Intervention for Capacity Building of Artisans, Institutional Development for SPV, Design development and marketing support for collective production through a Common Facility Center (CFC) equipped with all tools, equipment’s & machineries is required. The SPV is the owner of all assets created under this project. A Cluster Development Executive. Soft Intervention Programs ie. Institutional Development to train the SPV board and CDE on Management of SPV and business. Capacity Building of Artisans through Skill Development Programs, and Development of new designs with support of Design Institutes. Marketing and Exhibition Support for branding and product sales. Development of a 10000 Sq.ft. Common Facility Center with Plant and Machinery installed and a Raw Material Bank. Functionalization of the cluster and handholding as well as advisory support for 3 years. Artisans Income
With increase in sale in Pan India market artisans income will increase to a minimum of 5000 per month. Turnover
Increase of Turnover district by 2 times for Moonj products over the span of next 5 years

525 new Artisans will be attracted to created Moonj Craft
