Meghalaya Rural Bank has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management Shillong Foundation for Incubation and Entrepreneurship to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the startup ecosystem in Meghalaya.
The MoU was signed by Shri Ashish Yadav, Chairman, Meghalaya Rural Bank, and Prof. Rohit Dwivedi, Director, IIM Shillong Foundation for Incubation and Enterprises (IIMSFIE). The partnership being the first of its kind with a Commercial Bank in the State aims to facilitate greater access to institutional finance for startups, MSMEs, self-help groups, and emerging entrepreneurs.
This milestone collaboration brings Meghalaya Rural Bankβs extensive outreach of Customer base and IIMSFIE's expertise in incubation and entrepreneurship promotion.
The partnership aims to facilitate credit linkage to startups and entrepreneurs associated with IIMSFIE, while jointly conducting entrepreneurship development programmes, financial literacy initiatives and capacity-building workshops.
